Hi Friends ,
Recently i attended Cognizant off campus recruitment drive conducted in Bangalore hence i would like to share my experience with you all. I received invitation letter form Cognizant for the aptitude test which was scheduled on 5/2/11 at S.J.B.I.T College Bangalore. Test had two section first was Analytical and second was Verbal all together their were 55 questions. There were 25 question in verbal section and 35 question in Analytical section . The verbal section involved two passages and there were around 6 question on each passage and 6-8 question on finding the correct/wrong sentence among the following sentences.
And some 3 question were on finding the next figure which will follow the given series of figures in the question among the four figures given in the option. And similarly some 3 question on finding the figure which does not belong in the series of figures given in question.
The Analytical part included question on Syllogism , Logic, and some like
if abcd means i'm going to Mumbai then what is the code for i'm going to Bangalore.
My suggestion to you all is to go through RS Aggarwal Verbal and non verbal reasoning book you'll find all the above mention type of sections. And if you also have good Command over English then this is a piece of cake.
The next round will be Technical and HR they might also take GD first, all rounds will be held the same day, I had GD here they were eliminating only those who have serious communication problem, the time given to speak about a random topic by HR was just 10-20 seconds. The Technical round could be unpredictable, here interviewer goes through your status sheet which has your resume, application which you've filled during apti and will ask question based on what you have mentioned there, could also question like what is your family background ? and interest ? etc so be prepared with everything . If you have cleared this round there is high possibility of you being offered the job, most of the aspirants who reached till here along with me were offered the job, In HR round they were verifying documents and informing students about the job location.
Best of luck to you all .
